Frequently Asked Questions
What is Nutrovell Macular Complex?
A comprehensive ocular-nutrition formula providing 10 mg Lutein and 2 mg Zeaxanthin, plus Astaxanthin, omega-3s (EPA 300 mg, DHA 200 mg), Zinc, Copper, Vitamins C and E and Hyaluronic Acid. Lutein and zeaxanthin are the two carotenoids selectively deposited in the macula, where they form the protective macular pigment. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA and this product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
How does it support eye health?
Macular carotenoids absorb high-energy blue light and quench free radicals in the retina, supporting macular pigment optical density. The antioxidant vitamins and zinc reflect the nutrient categories studied for long-term macular health, while the omega-3s and hyaluronic acid support the tear film and retinal structure.
How should I take it?
Take two softgels daily with your main meal. As fat-soluble compounds, the carotenoids and omega-3s are absorbed best in the presence of dietary fat.
How soon will I notice results?
Macular pigment builds slowly as carotenoids accumulate in retinal tissue, so consistent daily use over 8 to 12 weeks or longer is expected before any change.
How long does one bottle last?
Each bottle contains 90 softgels, a 45-day supply at two per day.
Can I take it with my other supplements?
It already supplies omega-3, zinc and copper in a balanced ratio, so account for those if you take them separately to avoid excess. If you use anticoagulants, consult your prescriber owing to the omega-3 content.
Does it contain any allergens?
Yes, it contains fish (omega-3 from fish oil) and is therefore unsuitable for those with a fish allergy.
Who should avoid it?
Consult your healthcare professional if pregnant, nursing, or on medication, and do not exceed the recommended serving.
