Each tablet provides 28 mg of elemental iron as ferrous gluconate, a gentler, well-tolerated organic iron salt. Iron is an essential component of haemoglobin and myoglobin, the proteins that carry oxygen in blood and muscle, and it participates in the energy-producing reactions of every cell. Ferrous gluconate delivers bioavailable iron while tending to be gentler on the digestive tract than ferrous sulfate. Adequate iron status supports normal red-blood-cell formation, oxygen transport and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Take one tablet daily with your main meal. Pairing it with a source of vitamin C, such as our Vitamin C, enhances the absorption of non-heme iron.

Iron stores rebuild gradually over weeks to a few months. Because over-supplementation is possible, iron is best taken with periodic blood-test guidance from your provider.

Each bottle contains 120 tablets, a 120-day supply at one per day.

Calcium supplements, tea, coffee and high-fibre foods inhibit iron absorption, so separate them from your iron dose by at least two hours.

Iron can cause constipation or darkened stools in some people; taking it with food, fluids and dietary fibre helps manage this.

High-dose iron is not appropriate for everyone, so confirm you need it with your provider before use. Accidental iron overdose is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under six, so keep this product securely out of their reach.
